TULSA, Okla — Two members of the Virginia men’s tennis team will be in action as main draw play begins at the ITA All-American Championships, hosted by the University of Tulsa. Junior Jarmere Jenkins (College Park, Ga.) and first-year Mitchell Frank (Annandale, Va.) are among the 64 players in the field.

Jenkins opens play against Alex Musialek of Kentucky. Frank, who received a wild card into the field as a result of being the nation’s top-ranked freshman, plays Brennan Boyajian of North Carolina.

Several other Cavaliers competed in qualifying and pre-qualifying at the event earlier in the week. Julen Uriguen (Guatemala City, Guatemala) and Steven Rooda (Amersfoort, The Netherlands) fell in qualifying, while Philippe Oudshoorn (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands) fell in pre-qualifying.

Alex Domijan (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), the 2010 All-American Champion, and Drew Courtney (Clifton, Va.) were also selected for the main draw, but had to withdraw.

The tournament runs through Sunday.
