Cavman's Crew Announces Special Events for the Fall

July 30, 2012 – Cavman’s Crew, the official kids’ club of Virginia Athletics, has a number of interactive events scheduled for its members during the fall 2012 athletics seasons. Four Cavman’s Crew Days will be held at field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball games this fall. At each event, the first 100 youth in attendance will receive a free Virginia Athletics wristband.
Sunday, September 2 is Cavman’s Crew Day at Klöckner Stadium as the men’s soccer team hosts UCLA at 7 p.m. Come out starting at 6 p.m. for face painting, inflatables and poster making at the pre-game fan zone. There will also be a post-game autograph session with the team.
Cavman’s Crew Day at Memorial Gym will be held on Saturday, September 15 as the volleyball team takes on Liberty at 7 p.m. There will be interactive games for youth during the match and there will also be a post-game autograph session.
Women’s soccer will host ACC-rival Duke on Sunday, September 30, which is Cavman’s Crew Day. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. There will be face painting, inflatables and poster making at the pre-game fan zone starting at 1 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity meet the 2012 women’s soccer team during a post-game autograph session.
The final Cavman’s Crew Day of the fall season is Sunday, October 7 as the field hockey team takes on New Hampshire at 1 p.m. Stick around post-game for an autograph session with the team.
Cavman’s Crew is free to join. Members receive a free t-shirt, seven vouchers for complimentary admission to select home Virginia Athletics events, including: men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse and baseball games. Members may also use vouchers to purchase a $5 ticket for select non-conference men’s basketball games.
Cavman’s Crew members also receive a special coupon from McDonald’s, the chance to be selected as the McDonald’s Ball Kid for Virginia football and basketball games, and notification of special events for youth and families.
