SHANGHAI, China – Virginia men’s tennis alumni Treat Huey (Class of 2008) and Dominic Inglot (Class of 2009) had another impressive run at an ATP event, reaching the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters.

Huey and Inglot, currently the No. 15 ranked team in the world, opened the tournament with a first round win over ninth-ranked Max Mirnyi and Horia Tecau, 6-7(4), 7-6(2), 17-15. They followed that victory with another third-set match tiebreaker victory over sixth-seeded Rohan Bopanna and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, 7-6(4), 5-7, 10-6. Their run came to an end in the quarterfinals, as they were edged by the top-team in the world, Bob and Mike Bryan, 7-5, 7-6(4).

In other alumni news, Ted Angelinos (Class of 2008) has reached the final of the Futures event in his native Greece, where he is the top seed. Jarmere Jenkins (Class of 2013) reached the second round of the Tiburon Challenger and Sanam Singh (Class of 2011) was the doubles champion and was a singles quarterfinalist at the USA Futures event in Houston.
