Wahoo Central Moderator: Good morning. Greyson and Matt are here at Wahoo Central. We are going to get started. |
Haley (Charlottesville): Who would win in a game of one on one basketball? |
Matt Johns: I would enjoy that opportunity. I would need to use my jump shot, because it could be difficult getting past his long frame. |
John (Charlottesville): There is obviously a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. But what does it mean to a QB to know that you have such a great defense on your side? Does it loosen you up a bit? |
Greyson Lambert: Having a defense like ours is a tremendous benefit. At anytime you know they could get you the ball back and give you plenty of opportunities to score points. |
Matt Johns: To add on onto what Greyson said, just going against them in practice helps prepare us for game-like situations. |
Chris Alphin (Camden,NC): Are you confident that we can spread the offense out against a strong Louisville defense? |
Greyson Lambert: I think we have a good game plan and its always good to get the ball in our playmakers’ hands. |
Colin (Winchester): Are there any quarterbacks past or present that you guys try to emulate? |
Greyson Lambert: I watch several quarterbacks and try to take little pieces here and there of what makes them successful. |
Matt Johns: Even though I am not a Patriots fan, I like the way Tom Brady plays the game and the confidence he displays on the field. |
Rick (Richmond): How would you guys assess the performance of your O-Line through two games? |
Matt Johns: As a team we can all improve upon our performances. But our offensive line is not giving up sacks and runners are not getting tackled in the backfield. Its a good base to improve off of. We really trust all of our linemen to get the job done. |
Jack Bethinger: So how bout the women’s soccer team…? |
Matt Johns: I am an avid supporter of the UVa women’s soccer team. College Cup here we come! Go Hoos! |
BFlynn (Storrs): Matt & Greyson- Flynn here- you guys both threw touchdown passes to Canaan Severin this past weekend- question is, on a scale of 1-10 how much is Severin a stud? |
Matt Johns: 9.5, there is always room for improvement. |
Sam (Punta Gorda, FL): I understand you both are good friend. However, do you feel it’s a distraction sometime to share playing time? |
Greyson Lambert: Our main focus is to help the team win games. That is all we want to do. Matt and I share the same goal. |
Matt Johns: Sharing the same goals eliminates any distractions. |
Emily (Charlottesville): What was the most interesting road trip that you have experience with UVa football? |
Matt Johns: For me, it was NC State my first year. It was my first time on the travel roster and we snapped a losing streak to beat a few of our current coaches. |
Kate (Charlottesville): What is your craziest ambition? |
Eileen (Westchester, NY): How big of an influence is the support you get from the team and the fans? |
Greyson Lambert: We just don’t play for the guys in the locker room, but we play for all the fans, the UVa family, our community here in Charlottesville and beyond. |
Matt Johns: To echo Greyson. There is special bond you have when you come across someone wearing the orange and blue. We appreciate our fans a great deal. |
Wahoo Central Moderator: That is all we have time for. A big thank you to Greyson Lambert and Matt Johns for joining us today at Wahoo Central.
Next week DE Eli Harold will be in Wahoo Central on Thursday. Time will be announced next week.
See everyone out at Scott Stadium on Saturday when No. 21 Louisville comes to town. Kick is 12:30 p.m. Go Hoos!
