CHARLOTTESVILLE – Four members of the ACC Champion Virginia men’s tennis team were named to the All-ACC Men’s Tennis Team, conference officials announced Monday. Mitchell Frank (Annandale, Va.) and Ryan Shane (Falls Church, Va.) were named to the first team, Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) was named to the second team and Collin Altamirano (Sacramento, Calif.) was named to the third team.

Frank earned All-ACC honors for the fourth consecutive season, becoming the eighth Cavalier to be a four-time All-ACC selection. After not playing in the fall, he has posted a 16-3 singles record this spring. Frank is currently ranked No. 21 nationally in singles.

Shane received first-team honors a year after earning second-team honors. A semifinalist at this year’s ITA National Indoor Championships, he has posted a 27-8 singles record this season. He is currently ranked No. 7 nationally in singles and No. 2 nationally in doubles with Luca Corinteli (Alexandria, Va.).

Kwiatkowski, a third-team selection last year, was named to the second team this season. A semifinalist at this year’s ITA All-American Championships, he leads the team with 36 singles victories. He is currently ranked No. 18 nationally in singles and No. 63 nationally in doubles with Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.).

Altamirano was one four freshmen named to the All-ACC squads. He posted a 16-3 singles record since arriving on Grounds in January. He is currently ranked No. 93 nationally in singles.

Virginia earned the ACC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament by winning the ACC Championship. The field of 64 will be announced Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. on NCAA.com. First and second round action will be held at campus sites beginning on May 8.
