Virginia Field Hockey Announces Spring Training Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team will play in a combination of five scrimmages and tournaments during its 2016 spring training period, including three home scrimmages during April.

Virginia, which was ranked No. 4 in the final 2015 NFHCA Coaches’ Poll, will begin spring competition on Friday, March 18, playing at Old Dominion at 7:30 p.m. The Cavaliers will follow that with three home scrimmages, hosting William & Mary on Saturday, April 2 at 11:30 a.m. and then taking on Louisville twice, facing the Cardinals on Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10, with both of those games taking place at 12 noon. The Cavaliers wrap up their spring by competing in a tournament at James Madison on Saturday, April 16.

All three home scrimmages are open to the public and will be played at University Hall Turf Field.
