Kaeser Wins 100m Breaststroke Heat at Rio Olympics

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil–Recent UVA swimming graduate Yannick Kaeser competed in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke Saturday (Aug. 6) at the Rio Olympic Games.
Kaeser won his heat in a time of 1:00.71, to finish 24th overall. His time was 0.10 off his Swiss national record set at a time trial at the Georgia Fall Invitational in December.
This is Kaeser’s second Olympic appearance. He will compete in the 200m breaststroke Tuesday (Aug. 9).
