Former #UVAMLax All-American and current Atlanta Blaze goalie Adam Ghitelman traveled to Nicaragua with the Lacrosse the Nations organization, putting on clinics at two different schools in Managua. he Blaze players taught the children basic lacrosse skills, but had a greater goal aimed at teaching beyond the sport as well. Lacrosse the Nations states that lacrosse provides a medium through which “new lessons can be intentionally taught and practiced”. Among those lessons, Ratliff and Ghitelman taught communication, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Click here to read more about their trip.
