Thai-Son Kwiatkowski received a wild card into the main draw after winning the 2017 NCAA Singles title. Kwiatkowski gave No. 23 Mischa Zverev all he could handle in a match that went five sets and landed Kwiatkowski on ESPN in the No. 8 position of SportsCenter’s Top-10 list.

Congratulations to former #UVABASE standout Artie Lewicki who was named the International League Pitcher of the Week. Lewicki won two games for Toledo last week, beating Columbus Tuesday before pitching more than six scoreless innings in the Hens shutout win over Louisville Sunday. In his two starts he allowed a combined seven hits and two walks in 13 1/3 innings while fanning 15, giving him a 0.68 ERA for the week. Lewicki began his season in Double A with the Erie SeaWolves and was promoted earlier this month to Triple-A.
