Lizen and Ross Named Doubles Team of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia men’s tennis junior Aswin Lizen (Douglas, Isle of Man) and freshman Gianni Ross (Chicago, Ill.) were named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week in honors announced Tuesday (March 27) by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Lizen and Ross played key roles in the Cavaliers’ road wins over No. 39 Clemson (4-2) and Georgia Tech (6-1). The Virginia pair took down the Yellow Jackets’ 11th-ranked tandem of Carlos Divar and Michael Kay, 6-1, and the No. 22 duo of Simon Baudry and Alex Favrot from Clemson, 6-2.

This is the first conference honor for the Cavaliers this season and the first for both Lizen and Ross in their careers.
