Hoos a Captain

#UVAMSOC sophomore midfielder Joe Bell is the captain of the New Zealand U-20 National Team, a squad that is currently competing in the OFC U-19 Championship in Tahiti. The tournament is a qualifying event for next year’s U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Poland. In the opening match against the host nation, Bell drew a penalty kick that led to New Zealand’s first goal in its 2-1 victory. The squad will face Tonga on Thursday and Papua New Guinea on Sunday to close out pool play. Bell played for his home nation in the 2017 U-20 World Cup.
