Also from UVA Today, Whitelaw Reid takes a look at the preponderance of Hoos at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center taking part in the US Open. There are three competing in main draws (Collin Altamirano, Dominic Inglot, Danielle Collins), two more who competed in qualifying (J.C. Aragone and Thai-Son Kwiatkowski) and one former player who will get more TV time than the rest, Jarmere Jenkins, who, as Serena Williams’ hitting partner, has a front-row seat for very high profile matches, and always proudly dons a UVA tee for those matches.
