International Hoos

First up, congratulations to former #UVABase  Joe McCarthy whose Durham Bulls won the International League championship this weekend. Yes, this is actually an international story in name only, but still, we love nothing better than Hoos winning championships.

The next two pieces are International Hoos in the more traditional sense. Congratulations to former #UVAMTEN standout Dominic Inglot who helped lead Great Britain to a 3-1 win in a Davis Cup tie against Uzbekistan. Inglot partnered with Jamie Murray to pick up a win in doubles on Saturday.

Carissa (pictured above) and Tara Vittese both suited up for USA Field Hockey as the women’s national team competed at the Four Nations Tournament in Osaka, Japan. Tara competed for the American squad in July at the World Cup. The Four Nations Tournament saw Carissa’s return to the active roster. The US team currently ranks No. 12 in the world.
