HOOS LIFE: The Perfect Playlist With Rebecca Jarrett
In this edition of Hoos Life we talked to freshman forward Rebecca Jarrett about what makes the perfect playlist as the No. 11 Virginia women’s soccer team prepares for the NCAA Tournament.
The ideal pre-game playlist has to have a perfect balance of EDM, R&B/rap music, and old classics. Some of my EDM faves include songs like My Love, Revolution & I Got U. Songs like that are great before games to get me dancing. Artists like Travis Scott, Drake, and Migos always have good rap songs I can play to get me in “the zone.” And then you have to throw some classics like Thunderstruck and Jump Around to finish it off. I always make a playlist before the first game of the season and play it before every game. I guess you could say I’m pretty superstitious because once it’s finished and I play it once, I don’t change it and have to play every song in the same order.
