Talkin’ Baseball

#UVABase head coach Brian O’Connor was one of the keynote speakers on opening night of the Virginia Baseball Coaches Association meeting, which is being held at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville. O’Connor, along with LSU head coach Paul Mainieri, spoke on subjects that included culture,  leadership and recruiting. Check out the full story by NCB29.
 

Going Bowling

On Sunday, the #UVAFB team will learn which bowl game they will be in. Cavman has been exploring the different options and sharing them on social media (such as the Belk Bowl,  Pinstripe Bowl, Sun Bowl, and the rest).
 

Signing Day

This is a first for our blog: reporting on a signing day where the recruit is not going to UVA, but this is a pretty special circumstance. Kelsey Myers, the daughter of #UVAWLAX head coach Julie Myers, will be heading to Stanford next year to play lacrosse. Her proud mom was in attendance for Albemarle High’s signing day ceremony and shared the fact that the Cavaliers and the Cardinals will begin playing a series against one another next year.
