Hoos on Broadway

Congratulations to former #UVAFB standout Tiki Barber who has a new job. The former New York Giants running back and broadcaster will be doing a six-week run on Broadway, joining the cast of Tony-Award-Winning musical Kinky Boots on January 21, 2019. He will be playing the role of Don through March 3. Kinky Boots, a musical with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, is based on the true story of a specialty shoe factory in the north of England.

“I was very fortunate to be part of the New York Giants for ten years and feel incredibly lucky to be joining another New York institution: Broadway,” Barber said.

Barber made the announcement alongside former Giants teammate Michael Strahan on Good Morning America on Tuesday morning. Yes, Tiki will have to sing. And yes, he can do so. Check out the end of the video clip for a short sample of his talents.
