THE SERIES WITH MISSOURI
Virginia enters the matchup looking for its first-ever win over the Tigers in what has been a rarely wrestled matchup. The teams have met three times with the Tigers winning all three duals over the Cavaliers. The first meeting came in 1984 with the Tigers picking up a 19-17 win over the Cavaliers, before the second came with the No. 10 Tigers taking a victory over the Cavaliers in 2002 at the Virginia Duals. Last season, the teams met in Charlottesville with Missouri taking a 18-15 win over the Cavaliers.

DUAL COULD FEATURE REMATCHES FROM CLIFF KEEN INVITATIONAL
Based on probable lineups, the dual with the Tigers could feature a couple of rematches from the Cliff Keen Invitational earlier this season. At the Las Vegas event, Cam Coy and Connor Flynn faced off at 165 pounds, while Louie Hayes and Colby Smith wrestled at 125 pounds. The Missouri wrestler won in both matches at the Cliff Keen Invitational.

UP NEXT FOR THE CAVALIERS
Virginia will return to action after the holiday break with four matches at the South Beach Duals in Florida. The event, which will be held Dec. 29-30, will see the Cavaliers wrestle No. 21 Lehigh and West Virginia on Saturday before facing SIU-Edwardsville and No. 22 Utah Valley on Sunday.
