Hoos in the Crowd
Former #UVAMTEN All-American Jarmere Jenkins continues to represent his alma mater. Jenkins is Serena Williams’ hitting partner and watches her matches from her courtside box, always wearing a V-Sabre t-shirt. Cavalier fans have enjoyed trying to find Jenkins in crowd shots and posting screen shots of him and his UVA pride all over social media.
While Serena was picking up a quarterfinal win on centre court, former Hoo Dom Inglot was picking up one of his own on court one. Inglot, a native of Great Britain, has advanced to the semis in men’s doubles for the first time in his career. It is the second time that a Hoo has made it to the semis with Treat Huey advancing in 2016. Check out the video of Inglot’s match point shot by current #UVAMTEN head coach Andres Pedroso, who was there cheering him on in person.
