Hoos With Trophies

It is the return of our favorite Monday segment, Hoos with Trophies. This week, congratulations go out to former #UVAMTEN standout JC Aragone who won the doubles title at the Indian Wells Challenger this weekend in California. Aragone has won several titles on the lower-level Futures tour, but this is his first title at the Challenger level.

It is also the return of another blog favorite, #MustRead Monday, involving a favorite of all Hoo fans, Malcolm Brogdon. Just when you think the former #UVAMBB standout can’t top himself, he does. Check out this interview with the British paper, The Guardian. If the pull quote doesn’t get you, “People think if you’re black, you can’t be both educated and a sportsman,” then the tagline will, “[Brogdon] talks to Donald McRae about race, Giannia Antetokounmpo and his drive to fight poverty.”
