USA! UVA! USA!

The #USWNT picked up a 2-1 victory over Great Britain yesterday to earn a spot in the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup (which will be played this Sunday, July 7). Former #UVAWSOC standout Becky Sauerbrunn was in the starting lineup for yesterday’s victory, playing the entire match. UVA head coach Steve Swanson is an assitant on Jill Ellis’ coaching staff with two other UVA alums, Morgan Brian and Emily Sonnett, on the roster. @ADWiiliamsUVA shared this photo of the Cavaliers in France. All we can say is WAHOOWA! Go Hoos!!!!

World University Games

#UVATFCC jumper Kelly McKee will be competing in the triple jump at the World University Games on July 12 in Napoli, Italy. Her hometown paper, the Shawnee Mission Post, ran this article about her ahead of the competition.
