#HoosWithTrophies

This is a special edition of our favorite blog topic, #HoosWithTrophies, as it is a thing as opposed to a person who is being honored (though these two people picked up the hardware). Congratulations to Scott Stadium, which was one of nine facilities honored with the Facility of Merit Award by the National Center of Spectator Sports Safety & Security. “The Facility of Merit Award is to allow professional leagues, NCAA member institutions and marathon and endurance organizations to honor outstanding facilities that have gone above and beyond for their sports safety and security” said NCS4 Director Dr. Lou Marciani. “These contributions involve enhancing safety and security at their venue beyond what is normally required, and setting an example for other facilities to follow.” Scott Stadium was one of just three NCAA venues awarded the honor this year. Gloria Graham (UVA’s associate vice president of safety and security) and Jason Bauman (associate athletics director for facilites and operations) collected the award at a dinner in New Orleans.

Also in the #HoosWithTrophies, here is the #UVAMLAX contingent collecting the Captial One Cup tropy from Chris Long at the ESPYS on Wednesday night.
