Captain Hoo

Former #UVAMBB player Mike Scott has been named the honorary captain of the Philadelphia Soul, an arena football team. Scott, who plays for the Sixers, is helping to ramp up attendance for the team’s home playoff game on Sunday, reaching out to his Twitter followers and the rest of the city to get them to go our and support the team. The Soul, in return, are helping to raise funds for Scott’s basketball camp. Details can be found on their Twitter or Facebook accounts.
 

Hoops2o

Malcolm Brogdon’s Hoops2o is an offshoot of the Waterboys initiative started by Chris Long that aims to bring clean water to remote villages in Africa. Brogdon along with former Cavalier teammates Justin Anderson and Joe Harris made a trip to Tanzania to visit some of the wells that have been funded by the project.
