On Saturday, the NFL teams had to set their initial 53-man rosters, having to cut 30-some-dd players to get to that point. For several #UVAFB alums, this was a time for celebration. Among those getting good news to close out August, undrafted free agent DE Chris Peace made the cut with the Chargers (read an article from the Orange County Register about the impact he had in the preseason).

Another undrafted free agent, Olamide Zaccheaus, with be the sixth wide-out for the Atlanta Falcons and a potential punt returner.

Juan Thornhill is on the Kansas City Chief’s roster. Andrew Brown has made the Bengals roster.
