Hoo-union

Thursday night was @UVA Night at Camden Yards, with Cavalier fans getting a special t-shirt and an opportunity to say hello to former #UVABase standout Branden Kline. However, there was an extra layer to UVA Night as it featured not one, but two former Cavaliers in uniform, the other playing for the opposition. Kline and Toronto Blue Jay Derek Fisher posed for this Hoo-tastic pic before the game.

Women Empowering Women

On Wednesday night, various members of the @VirginiaSports staff, including Katie Rudy (Director of Event Presentation and Fan Engagement), Lauren Taylor (multimedia designer) and Ellen Cook (Director of Community Engagement) and the mystery authoress of this blog were members of a panel speaking to the Association for Women in Sports Media student chapter at Virginia. AWSM is a group whose mission is to help advance women in the sports media industry, provides networking and support.
