Ring of Honor
Congratulations to former #UVAFB cornerback Rondé Barber, who was inducted into Tampa Bay’s Ring of Honor during halftime of Sunday’s game at Raymond James Stadium. You can watch the video of his brief remarks here. A five-time Pro Bowl cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Barber, the NFL’s only member of the “40/20 club” (40+ interceptions, 20+ sacks), is the Buccaneers’ all-time interceptions leader (47), and his 28 sacks are second-most in league history among defensive backs. The FOX sports analyst also penned this wonderful reflection on his career and what the honor means to him.
Hoos Care
On Sunday, members of the football team (Bryce Hall, Bryce Perkins, Joe Reed and Jordy Bullock) went to lunch with one of their biggest fans, Anna. You can learn a little more about her in this episode of Thursday’s Heroes from two weeks ago.
This #HoosCare moment is a little less sentimental, but awesome in a different way. Former #UVAMBB standout and current Philadelphia Sixer Mike Scott spent his Sunday morning playing Nerf Wars with young Philly fans. Here is the MUST WATCH video (courtesy of NBC Sports Philadelphia).
