CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 23 Virginia wrestling team (3-1) continues competition this weekend as members of the squad will take the mat at the Keystone Classic. The event is being held at The Palestra and hosted by Penn with wrestling beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 24). 

Fans can keep up with the action with brackets and results provided by FloWrestling or a subscription based stream through ESPN+. Links to both will be available at VirginiaSports.com and will go live prior to the start of competition on Sunday. Fans can also get updates throughout the day by checking the program’s official Twitter account (@UVAWrestling).

HOOS IN THE RANKINGS
As a team, the Cavaliers continue to hold down the No. 23 spot in the latest NWCA poll. Individually, the Cavaliers have three wrestlers ranked at their respective weight classes. Senior Jack Mueller (Dallas, Texas) comes in at No. 2 at 125 pounds, while redshirt freshman Justin McCoy (New Paris, Pa.) is ranked No. 16 at 157 pounds and redshirt junior Jay Aiello (Chantilly, Va.) is ranked No. 9 at 197 pounds.

A LOOK AT THE FIELD FOR THE KEYSTONE CLASSIC
In addition to Penn and the Cavaliers, other teams competing in the event will be Appalachian State, Drexel, Duke, F&M, Harvard, Rider, Sacred Heart and VMI. In all, there is a slate of 13 nationally-ranked wrestlers in the field. Three weight classes (141, 149 and 184) have no ranked wrestlers competing which leaves the bracket wide open. Virginia’s Aiello leads the field at 197 pounds as the highest-ranked wrestler scheduled to wrestle.

LAST TIME AT THE KEYSTONE CLASSIC
The Cavaliers last competed at the Keystone Classic in the 2005-06 season with Virginia taking a second-place finish after posting 109.5 total points. Seven Cavaliers turned in finishes in the top three of their weight classes to help power Virginia to the second-place finish. 

UP NEXT FOR THE CAVALIERS
Virginia will have the next week of for Thanksgiving before returning to action in competition at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. The two-day event will run December 6-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
