On Thursday, members of the @UVAMensTennis team participated in the Xperience tennis clinic on their home indoor courts, playing along side and coaching Special Olympics athletes who are in town for the weekend tournament at the Boar’s Head. The calendar has flipped to 2020 which means it’s time for the U-20 Women’s National Team to hit the big stage for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, but before that the US has to qualify through the CONCACAF Championships. Three members of the Virginia women’s soccer team have been called up to training camp in hopes of making the team to represent the U.S. this year. Rebecca Jarrett, Alexa Spaanstra and Talia Staude are all competing as part of the 25 player camp for one of the 20 roster spots. Read about the process and the players selected for the camp here.
