Alexa Spaanstra and Rebecca Jarrett of the Virginia women’s soccer team are representing the Red, White and Blue at the 2020 Concacaf U20 Championships as the US seeks a berth in the 2020 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. They helped the U.S. get off to a strong start against Cuba as Spaanstra tallied a pair of assists and a goal in the 9-0 win. The team will take on the Dominican Republic today. Read more about the matchup, the first-round win and what you need to know about the rest of the tournament here

@UVAMensHoops alums Justin Anderson and Devon Hall were also in the red, white and blue this weekend, playing for Team USA at the #AmeriCup Qualifiers. USA Basketball shares this great feature on Anderson, who was a starter for the team in their two victories over Puerto Rico, as well as the clip above. Hall did not play in Friday’s game in San Juan, but played 10 minutes on Sunday in the second game of the series held in Washington, D.C.
