This actually should be titled #HoosCare, but we don’t want to downplay former @UVAMensHoops guard Ty Jerome’s huge accomplishment. This weekend, Jerome was crowned the champion of Locker Room Acccess’ NBA 2K tournament. The tournament was a fundraiser for former UVA hourly employees who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jerome, who was also one of the founders of the tournament, explained the structure and motivation behind the tourney NBC29’s Aileen Hnatiuk. The tournament was a Hoos Hoo of Cavalier alums with Jerome taking on @UVAFootball alum Jake McGee in the championship. Many of the match-ups, including the championship, were streamed on Twitch with over 1,000 people watch McGee take down De’Andre Hunter in the semifinals. If you wish to donate to the cause, you can still do so right here.
