#HoosCare
“The relationship with those butt kickers up there, you could never put a price on it.”
Both Ms. Kathy’s have put smiles on #UVA students’ faces for two decades, but now in a time of need alum like @JusAnderson1 and @LockerRoomInc are giving back to them: https://t.co/FJUOcOnCDx pic.twitter.com/JXii8OGaL1

As we reported on Monday, former Cavaliers bonded together last weekend to hold an NBA 2K tournament to raise money to help hourly workers who were furloughed during the COVID-19 crisis. In this great piece from CBS19’s Preston Willett, he speaks to Ms. Kathy and Ms, Cathy, two of the beloved workers that inspired the outpouring. He also chats with Justin Anderson, who co-created the tournament with Ty Jerome. This is a MUST SEE story!!! And remember, you can still make a donation and help the cause here.
Student-athletes from @UVAFootball @UVAMensHoops @UVAWomensHoops @UVAWomensTennis spent time at Walker Upper Elementary where they spoke about the importance of education. They also got to play some fun games with the students! #GoHoos #GivingBack pic.twitter.com/NISbfKnMFy

In honor of #GivingTuesday, @UVASAExeperience looked back at some of the many, many, many community engagement projects that the Cavaliers took part in this year. Give the account a follow to see even more.
LOOK HOOS BACK!!!
As of 5:30 a.m. today, live sports have returned to ESPN! Today is opening day for the Korean Baseball League (KBO). The league is playing games in fan-less stadiums (though don’t worry, the cheerleaders are still there). The first game broadcast was between the Dosan Bears and the LG Twins, the latter being the team of @UVABaseball alum Tyler Wilson. His wife, @UVAWomensHoops alumna and current ACC Network and ESPN women’s basketball analyst Chelsea Shine made an appearance on the broadcast. Wilson chatted remotely with the ACC Network this week about the return of baseball. Watch the interview below.
