Look Hoos Talking
Former @UVABaseball standout Branden Cogswell is an assistant coach at Rutgers University and was recently interviewed on the Inside Rutgers Athletics podcast. He talks about his evolution as a college baseball coach, his time at Virginia and his experience as a pilot. Yup, you read that last part right. Intrigued? Find out more about it right here. While we are on the topic of Brandon Cogswell, we thought we’d dig into the archives and bring back this UVA Today profile from 2018, the year he returned to Grounds to finish his degree and serve as a student-coach.
ICYMI: Very early this morning, baseball returned to ESPN with a game between the LG Twins and Doosan Bears of the KBO. Our own @ShineTime50 was a special guest on the broadcast. Her husband @t_willy18 is a member of the Twins. 👀 full game on 💻 WatchESPN pic.twitter.com/nfd5Ji1w2x

In yesterday’s blog, we shared that former @UVAWomensHoops standout and current basketball analyst Chelsea Shine Wilson hade made an appearance on ESPN’s broadcast of a Korean Baseball League opening day game. Thanks to the rebroadcast on WatchESPN (you should pop over there and check out the full game, if you miss live sports) and the efforts of our video services staff, we have the full segment, above. Hear from both Chelsea and former @UVABaseball standout Tyler Wilson, who pitches for the LG Twins.

Also revisiting another blog item from yesterday, @UVASAExprience continues to look back at some of the phenomenal community service project the Hoos participated in this year. We love this one they posted from yesterday of a visit by women’s tennis players to UVA Children’s Hospital.
