Former @UVAMensHoops standout and current Philadelphia 76er Mike Scott has spent the last three weeks assisting others by providing meals to the front-line heroes in his hometown area, Hampton Roads. Scott teamed with Jersey Mike’s Subs to feed all of the employees at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, but he didn’t stop there. He also provided lunch for three days to cover every shift of firefighters at the Deep Creek fire stations and covered the overnight shifts at both Chesapeake Regional Hospital and the Deep Creek police station. He fed the overnight shifts at both Chesapeake Regional Hospital and the Deep Creek police station. And he fed all of the frontline workers at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth. You can read more about his efforts here.
And now, some more #HoosYourHero posts in which current student-athletes are changing their jerseys to honor frontline workers.
