Speaking of things worth your time, @UVAWomensHoops alumna Dawn Staley penned an incredible piece published by The Players’ Tribune. This one is a MUST READ!

@UVAWomensSoccer legend Angela Hucles was selected by Virginia governor Ralph Northam to be one of the keynote speakers at a virtual graduation ceremony for the state’s high school seniors. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and businesswoman. Originally from Virginia Beach, this UVA grad is a 4-time All-ACC soccer player and a member of two USA women’s World Cup soccer teams. She speaks across the country on issues such as fighting homophobia in sports, gender equity, diversity and inclusion. Hucles is also an entrepreneur who has a real estate business and is the co-founder of Fueling Dynamic Leaders, an online Sports Nutrition & Leadership Academy for student-athletes. Congratulations to incoming softball player Mikayla Hogue who was named Iowa’s 2020 Gatorade State Player of the Year. You can read this capsule of her career from her local newspaper. Or, if you prefer your softball coverage to be more national, Hogue and her team were featured on Sportscenter on Monday as Iowa high school programs have returned to practice.
