Goodbye/Hello
NFL Cut Day was Saturday, the day that all the teams had to trim their rosters to 53 players. There was a flurry of activity over the weekend as former Hoos learned their fates. Two quarterbacks, Kurt Benkert and Bryce Perkins, were both waived by the Falcons and Rams, respectively, but then immediately signed to the practice squads. Read about Perkins’ signing here.

Other Hoos were celebrating being named to the official rosters, including Micah Kiser who made the cut with the Rams.

Members of the UVA Football team spent part of their holiday weekend passing out wristbands to individual who did the walk from Heather Heyer Way to the Memorial of Enslaved Labors and ending at the Rotunda to give participants a permanent reminder of the mission and meaning behind that walk.
