Hoos Voting
The NCAA has passed a new measure giving student-athletes election day off as an opportunity to exercise their right to vote. @UVAFootball players Charles Snowden and Jowon Briggs talked with Bennett Conlin of the Daily Progress about having the day off to vote and the importance of casting a ballot. Read the story here.
Snowden and Briggs aren’t the only Hoos exercising the vote this week. Former @UVAWomenSoccer player Becky Sauerbrunn has been active with US Soccer in a campaign to encourage people to vote.

Hoo Working For A Title
Former @UVAWomenSoccer player Emily Sonnett is one of several Hoos playing abroad right now and she’s one of several members of the US Women’s National Team who has her team in contention for a league title overseas. Sonnett and Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC will play on Saturday as the club is one step closer to the league title.
