@UVAMensSoccer alum Eric Bird has been signed to a contract extension by FC Tulsa. The team made the announcement on January 5, which is International Bird Day. THe former Hoo had a breakout 2020 season. Per the club’s release, “Bird landed in Tulsa prior to the 2020 USL Championship season and immediately slotted as a starter into FC Tulsa’s midfield. The former collegiate National Champion at the University of Virginia started 14 matches for Tulsa in 2020, scoring two dramatic match-winners to lead the club. He also led the team and was second in the league in tackles with 31 tackles won.”
