Black History Month
The WNBA posted this Instagram throwback as part of its Black History Month celebration. @UVAWomensHoops head coach Tina Thompson was the league’s first-ever draft pick. Bonus Hoo alert: Cavalier alum Val Ackerman was the commissioner of the league at the time and is the one presenting the jersey to Thompson.
