Yesterday was International Women’s Day and many of the UVA accounts celebrated the occasion, including Women’s Basketball.
STUDENT-Athlete
We are thrilled to welcome the class of 2023 to the Batten family! Incoming student Owayne Owens said he applied to Batten "because he wants to help make positive changes in society." We can't wait to see what you do! #TogetherWeAreBatten https://t.co/U1oBvbdzJs

@UVATFCC student-athlete Owayne Owens got a shout-out from the Batten School of Public Policy yesterday. The Batten School recently informed next year’s accepted students of the good news, including Owens. The tweet also includes an article about his victory in the triple jump at last month’s ACC Indoor Track and Field Championship, so I guess we probably should have titled this STUDENT-ATHLETE, all-caps-ing both sides of the equation.
