Hoos Care
Today is @UVAFootball Pro Day. It is not only a chance for former Hoos to impress NFL scouts, it is also an opportunity to make a difference, at least in the case of Shane Simpson. The Virginia tailback joined forces with Uplifting Athletes ahead of his Pro Day. He’s participating in the 2021 Reps for Rare Diseases campaign. Supporters can pledge a donation based on how many bench press reps Simpson records at Pro Day, and all proceeds will go to Uplifting Athletes, a charitable organization that raises money for rare disease research and awareness. @UVASwimDive national champion (as part of the team and three times as an individual) Paige Madden talked to Swim Swam about her golden last week.
Appreciate the Recognition, however this should be labeled “Staff of the Year!” It takes an army. I’m so fortunate to work with an amazing group of Coaches and Staff. Thank you Tyler, Wes, Blaire, Andrew, and Drew! YOU ALL EARNED THIS! https://t.co/mkJs6Uh7Y6

Madden’s head coach Todd DeSorbo was named the national coach of the year, but he’s pretty sure the name plate on the trophy needs more space, and a smaller font.
