Freshman First
Congratulations to @UVAWomensTennis freshman Emma Navarro who won her first WTA tour-level singles match last night in Charleston at the Volvo Car Open. Navarro will take on the No. 15 seed in a second-round match this afternoon. She had the WTA tweeting about her and the collegiate tennis association, the ITA.
We see you, Emma!

With this year’s draft right around the corner as well as the 25th anniversary of the founding of the league, the WNBA did a throwback yesterday. This clip is great as it features @UVAWomensHoops alumna Tammi Reiss and current Cavalier head coach Tina Thompson, who both learn their draft fates in this video. Let’s just say that both the league and the draft have come a long way in 25 years.
