CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  The Virginia men’s tennis team opens the fall portion of its schedule by hosting the Orange and Blue Classic  Friday through Sunday (Sept. 24-26). Matches will be played outdoors at the courts of the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.

The individual tournament will feature doubles and singles matches. There will be two waves of matches each day. On Friday, the action begins at 9:30 a.m. with the first matches on Saturday and Sunday slated for a 9 a.m. start.

Players from Columbia, Princeton and Virginia Tech will also be competing in the tournament.

Neither live scoring nor streaming video will be available for the matches, but fans are welcome to attend. Results will be posted on VirginiaSports.com at the conclusion of play each day.

The Orange and Blue Classic is the team’s lone home tournament until dual matches begin in January.

Friday, Sep. 24:

  • 9:30AM:  Virginia Tech will play Columbia in their doubles + singles flights.  Starting with doubles.
  • 1:00PM:  Princeton will play UVA in their doubles + singles flights.  Starting with doubles.

Saturday, Sep. 25:

  • 9:00AM:  Virginia Tech will play Princeton in their doubles + singles flights.  Starting with doubles.
  • 12:30PM:  Columbia will play UVA in their doubles + singles flights.  Starting with doubles.

Sunday, Sep. 26:

  • 9:00AM:  Princeton will play Columbia in their doubles + singles flights.  Starting with doubles.
  • 12:30PM:  Virginia Tech will play UVA in their doubles + singles flights.  Starting with doubles.
