Team USA

Last week we had updates on the US Women’s National Team. This week, the men enter the chat. @UVAMensSoccer alum Henry Kessler has been invited to training camp with the national team. The 26-player squad reported yesterday. The camp will culminate on Dec. 18 with a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Carson, Calif. Check out the full story on the camp and friendly here.  This is his second call up to the U.S. Men’s National Team after joining the squad for the knockout stage of the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup in July. The defender made his international debut in the 2021 Gold Cup Final on August 1 against Mexico, entering as a substitute in extra time to help the U.S. defeat Mexico, 1-0, and claim the federation’s seventh Gold Cup title. Kessler was also part of the United States Under-23 squad during Olympic Qualifying in March, playing 270 minutes over three starts.
