Hoos With Trophies
The US U20 Women’s National Team claimed the Concacaf Championship over the weekend and a pair of Cavalier defenders had a role in helping the United States lock up a berth in the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup. Samar Guidry and Laney Rouse both competed for the team in the Dominican Republic and helped the US defeat Mexico 2-0 on Sunday to bring home the cup.
In other Junior Women’s National Team news, four Hoos have been in the Pacific Northwest training with the U-23 team in Portland. They played a pair of scrimmages a week ago against the Chicago Red Stars and Portland Thorns. On Sunday, they played the OL Reign to a draw. In goal for the Reign, their former teammate Laurel Ivory. All four took this photo together.
