Hoos Going Pro (Again)
“There are over 400,000 NCAA student-athletes, and most of us will go pro in something other than sports.” Former @UVAFootball quarterback Kurt Benkert is bucking that trend by being a professional in two sports. Benkert’s day job is being the backup quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, but the prolific gamer and popular Twitch stream celebrity is now also going professional in ESports. Benkert has signed with Spacestation Gaming “as a content creator and alternate for the SSG Halo roster.” You can click here to read more about his second career.

Yesterday, we shared about @UVAFootball’s Anthony Poindexter’s induction into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. There were TWO Hoos who went into the Hall this weekend, so today we congratulate @UVABaseball’s Mike Cubbage. Congratulations to both!
