Hoos With Trophies

Last week was a big week for the Hoos hardware collections, with two tennis players, Chris Rodesch and Inaki Montes, both winning pro titles, the swimmers winning four national titles (including two by Matt King) at the Phillips 66 National Championships, and rower Sarah Bradford winning gold at the U19 World Rowing Championships. Recaps of all of those events are available on VirginiaSports.com, but we wanted to share this piece about Montes’ doubles title. It includes some highlights of the win plus a (fire up the Google translate) post-match interview. This is the highest-level tournament win of the rising junior’s career, and it came in his home nation of Spain.
