Jake Giulieri Pronunciation

2023 – “Is there anyone louder?  Jake is constantly providing directional commands on the field with our defensive units.  His commentary does not stop there as he is a humorous and jovial teammate who brings juice to the weight room, the locker room, the restaurant, etc.  Jake has been a steadfast part of our man-down unit, due to a keen understanding of our concepts, the aforementioned barking and a keen knockdown ability due to his proficient anticipation of skip passes.” 2022 – “Inspiring teammate … Jake has helped transform our entire team into an all-in mindset due to his vocal and energizing plays on defense and his celebrations. He plays a critical role on our Man Down unit, barking out opposing offensive sets and our counters. Tough to stop in the clearing game, he has the speed and stick protection to maneuver his way to our offensive end.” 2021 – “Strong first-year here in Charlottesville … great burst upfield when clearing … tough V-hold on the corner … closing the gap with timing of slides and rotations … even played some SSDM this fall semester.”2020 – “A promising start to his Virginia lacrosse career was witnessed this fall.  Thrown into the proverbial fire, Jake was assigned elite attackmen in both practice and scrimmages.  Jake’s next step will be to build upon that experience, incorporating more aggressive approaches to the ball carrier while also maintaining a trusted, active voice in our schemes.”
