2016-17 SEASON – ITA National Team Indoor Champions, NCAA Team Champions
• 2017 NCAA Men’s Singles Champion
– downing UNC’s William Blumberg 6-4 7-6(5) in the final to win the fourth singles title in program history
• 2018 NCAA Top 10 Award winner, just the sixth the sixth Virginia student-athlete to earn the award [joining Peggy Boutilier (1999) – lacrosse and field hockey, Tiki Barber (1997) – football, Michael Fisher (1997) – soccer, James Dombrowski (1986) – football, Richard Giusto (1983) – lacrosse], earning this prestigious honor
• ACC Men’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, only the second student-athlete in ACC history to earn back-to-back Scholar Athlete of the Year honors in men’s tennis, joining Dominic Inglot in 2008-09
• Was also named the Virginia Athletic Department’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second straight year
• Singles All-American, his third time earning the honor
• All-ACC First Team, his fourth all-conference honor but his first time being voted to the first team

• ACC Player of the Week (April 18) after leading the Cavaliers to a 2-0 weekend with wins over No. 18 GT and BC. He defeated No. 5 Christopher Eubanks (GT) in a singles battle, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (6), winning both sets in tiebreakers. He also won the deciding doubles match to clinch the point for UVA vs. GT as well as collecting a doubles win against the Eagles.
• Preseason ITA singles ranking of No. 4; started the spring season ranked No. 39
• Won the American Collegiate Invitational at the US Open to start the fall season
• Advanced through qualifying to earn a spot in the singles main draw of the $50,000 Charlottesville Men’s Pro Challenger (Oct. 31)
• Won his first professional singles title at the Mayaguez $10,000 Pro Futures tournament in Puerto Rico (Dec. 24)
• 2016 year-end ATP singles ranking of 675 and 534 in doubles; moved up to career-best ATP rankings of 545 in singles and 460 in doubles in April and May
• Advanced to the second round of singles in the main draw of the $25,000 Los Angeles Futures tournament (Jan. 7)
• Won the doubles title at the Toulouse $15,000 Pro Futures Tournament in Toulouse, France (March 10)
• Advanced through qualifying to reach the quarterfinals of the singles main draw in the Toulouse $15,000 Pro Futures Tournament (March 10)

SUMMER 2016
• Moved up to then-career-high ATP singles ranking of 669 (7/11) and 534 doubles ranking (7/11)
• Won his first professional title, partnering with Mac Styslinger to win the ITF $25,000 Charlottesville Futures doubles championship (June 11), advancing to the semis in singles
• Won his second professional title the next week, capturing the doubles crown at the ITF $25,000 Winston-Salem Futures, playing alongside Illinois’ Jared Hiltzik
• Competed in qulaifying for US Open singles tournament, winning his first set over No. 161 Henri Laaksonen, 6-2, but fell in three sets
• Advanced to the semifinals in singles of the Hyvinkaa Futures Tournament in Finland (Aug. 13)
• Fell in the doubles final of the Kaarina Futures Tournament in Finland while advancing to the quarterfinals in singles (Aug. 6)
• Advanced to the Round of 16 in singles and the quarterfinals in doubles of the Binghampton Challenger (July 24)
• Advanced to back-to-back semifinals in both singles and doubles at the Rochester and Pittsburgh Futures tournaments (June 26-July 3)

• Won the singles and doubles titles at the ITA All-American, the first player since 2009 and fourth in the history of the ITA Men’s All-American to win both titles in the same year, in Tulsa at the Case Tennis Center (Oct. 12)
