Caty Reeves is in her first season on the Virginia softball staff as Director of Operations and Player Development.

Reeves joins the Cavaliers after having spent the past five seasons on the coaching staff at Abilene Christian. She served three seasons as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator before being named associate head coach after the 2022 season. She took over offensive coordinator duties for the 2024 season. At Abilene Christian, she was in charge of the advanced analytics, scouting reports and practice scheduling among other duties.

Prior to joining the Wildcats, Reeves spent one season as a volunteer assistant at Ole Miss, helping the Rebels to 41 wins, host an NCAA Regional and advance to an NCAA Super Regional.

Before joining the Rebels, Reeves spent six season as the head coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan, leading the Eagles to a program record 36 wins in the 2016 season. During her tenure, she developed 18 first-team all-conference players, two conference Pitcher of the Year selections, and three conference Player of the Year honorees.

Reeves began her coaching career at McNeese State in the 2012 season as she helped the Cowgirls to a third-place finish in the Southland Conference and McNeese picked up wins over top-ranked Arizona State and No. 25 Oregon State.

She graduated from Cal Baptist after a four-year playing career that saw her help the Lancers claim the 2009 NAIA National Championship, four consecutive conference titles and four regional titles. Reeves was a 2011 CoSIDA Academic All-America selection and a two-time NAIA Scholar Athlete. She earned a bachelor’s in mathematics and a master’s of education from Cal Baptist.
