Emily Appold
Emily Appold has been an assistant athletic trainer at Virginia since 2022, where she works with the women’s rowing team. Appold is responsible for the overall daily health care of UVA student-athletes, including prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation for injuries and illnesses.
Prior to coming to Virginia, Appold spent time at Michigan for a post-graduate fellowship program. There she worked with the women’s rowing program.
Appold received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Minnesota in 2018. She completed her master’s degree in athletic training from Arkansas in 2020. Appold is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, and has also spent time working with the U23 selection camp with US Rowing.
