• Graduated from Blair Academy in 2019
• Selected to the US Rowing Junior National Team High Performance Camp in 2017 and 2018, and to the US Rowing U19 Selection Camp in 2019
• Awarded All Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) First Team for Outstanding Athletic Achievement in 2017 and 2018
• Served as team captain and led her team to MAPL championships in 2018 and 2019

• Daughter of Steve and Deb Tierney
• Has one brother, Kyle, and two sisters, Shannon and Emily
• Brother, Kyle, rowed at Yale and sister, Shannon, rowed at Duke
• Volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and then continued her work with children during her time at Duke by volunteering at the Duke University Children’s Hospital
• Also mentored an ESL class at the Durham School of the Arts
• Competed in Irish step dancing in high school
• Enjoys hiking, baking and photography
• Chose UVA for its career-oriented graduate programs and the opportunity to join an elite and motivated team
• Pursuing a master’s degree in Counselor Education
